More House Saga

So our offer got accepted and we are under contract. There's just one downside...one of our loans that we thought was going to work out isn't so much. It's the loan for our down payment and closing costs, it's a State loan. You have to have a certain credit score which we are 9 points shy of. We did exactly what our lender told us to do in order to get the points and it didn't work. So, now we are basically playing the scrambling game trying to see how we can come up with the money for our down payment. We don't have to have too much but really...I can't think of where we are going to come up with it in the amount of time that we have.

I don't understand. We are good people. We go to work, we pay our bills on time, we take good care of our kids and all we wanted to do was have a life together in the house that we found. Troy has already given up and doesn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I guess it's a little hard for me too but part of me thinks that we will figure it out. We have to. I have to keep telling myself that I have to have hope. I've been down plenty of dark roads and I think that even just having a little bit of hope that things will get better, somehow they've just got to. I've got a little over a week to figure out how to get the money for my down payment. So, first thing in the morning I guess I'm going to have to start making phone calls.
