This week I chose Moondreamers. For the longest time I couldn't remember the name of these toys and it was driving me crazy. I knew it had something to do with the moon and that they flew around the sky on animals. I even remember a cartoon. I looked and looked because I knew that they existed, because I owned one. I had the girl with the bear and my sister had the girl that flew around on the lion. For a while I thought that it was me going crazy and that I had maybe just imagined it. Well, I finally found them and hence discovered that I am NOT crazy. :)

Here's a little bit of information that I found about the show on the website that I found them on, http://www.ghostofthedoll.co.uk/Toys_MoonDreamers.htm.
"Moon Dreamers were produced by Hasbro in 1986, and were very short lived. The dolls were all outfitted in a celestial theme, using lots of lamé and metallic fabrics as well as glow in the dark elements. In addition, their hair glowed in the dark, and they all had stars in their eyes. Each doll also came with a figure stand and jewel necklace.
Later releases came with "Dreamtails" instead of jewel necklaces. It is interesting to note that the Hasbro catalogue for 1988 had many new Moon Dreamer dolls and accessories which were never produced, a great source of wonder for Moon Dreamer collectors!
As well as the dolls, there was an animation, accessories, playsets, and books."
Apparently the two dolls are Bitsy and Blinky. Bitsy rides on Roary, the lion, and Blinky rides on Ursa, the bear. One of these days I'm going to find all my old toys in my parent's garage and it's going to feel like Christmas when I was a kid. I can't wait!
