So my week last week was almost surreal. Here's a little (maybe a little long) rundown of what happened.
Monday: Got to work and found out that a coworker had passed away. It was really sad because she was such a wonderful lady. Then because of the snow it took me an hour and 40 minutes to get home. It was terrible. We did end up having our first "Family Night". Alessandra, Emily, my dad, and I ended up playing Candyland. Em won one time and Alessandra won the next. I was soo close but got sent back all the way to the
Tuesday: We sitting there eating dinner and our neighbor stopped by because they had borrowed a 4-wheeler from their brother and were taking their kids sledding around the neighborhood. She asked if the girls would want to go too. I said it was ok and got them all bundled up. I met up with them at the church parking lot. It was so much fun! The girls had a blast!
Wednesday: So, Em decided that she wanted me to take her to school. I was already running late but figured if she was ready to go then I could take her. I was on 400 North and State Street, right in front of Central Bank, and I was trying to get around another car and went right into the gutter. I was stuck. Nobody was stopping and I was soo embaressed. Finally, my neighbor stopped and helped, not knowing it was me. Then 3 other people stopped to helped. It was a moment that I truly believed in the kindness of strangers.
Later that day my attorney called and stated that Chris and his attorney met and they want to settle. Woo Hoo!! Finally, I feel like we are making some headway with this. On January 31st it will be two years in the making.
Then, even later, my sister called and asked if I wanted to play bunko with her. So, I had dinner with Troy and then rushed over to pick up my sister for bunko. I ended up getting lowest score, it seemed like it was a first time occurance that I hadn't had any bunkos. For my prize I got a really cute frame and a reed diffuser thing.
Thursday: Pam's funeral. The morning started out crazy because I was trying to get the girls ready for school and Em was just not cooperating. I was soo frustrated with her. Alessandra was late for school and Em just kept running around and giggling because she thought it was funny. Uggg!! I was late picking up Arien for the funeral but thankfully we didn't end up being late for that. The funeral was good but sad. The flowers that our department ordered for Pam were absolutely beautiful! It's always hard to say good bye to somebody who was such a good person.
Friday: After calming down Alessandra in the morning, she was upset about some friends at school, I headed to work for another exciting Friday. After work I managed to get in a fight with Troy. That was a lot of fun. Dumb boys! I went to my bunko group...didn't do as good there as I did at my sister's but oh well. Ended up going home and continue to be mad and go to bed.
Saturday: Woke up still mad at Troy but decided that I should talk to him. I went and picked up the girls, because Chris decided to sign himself up for a class, and took them to Alessandra's Girl Scout Cookie Rally. Yes my daughter will be selling Girl Scout cookies but not until the 17th of January. After that I took them to the science store to get things for Alessandra's science fair project. Whew! I'm exhausted. I took them back to Chris's house and went up to Troy's to talk to him. We ended up making up and everything is ok now but I still think boys are dumb.
Sunday: Almost done, I promise. I went to the Body Worlds 3 exhibit in Salt Lake City. It was really neat but I love that kind of stuff. I took anatomy in college and absolutely loved it. As I was leaving I couldn't see my car because it was behind a big truck...I thought it had either been towed or stolen. I was so freaked out! Eventually I found it, although it was still nerve wracking. That night I took Alessandra to a baptism preview because she has said she wants to be baptised. So...by the end of the weekend I am completely exhausted.
